El infierno queda al sur

Throughout the article, it is my intention to establish a direct relation between two short stories and a novel, each of them from Argentina, with Italian writer Dante Alghieri’s Divine Comedy. The texts on which this essay is based are: «Las puertas del cielo» by Julio Cortázar, «El Aleph» by Jorge Luis Borges, and Sobre héroes y tumbas by Ernesto Sábato. The relation consists in revealing the journey the main characters take through the same hell that Dante represented in his inferno. Nevertheless, they are of a different kind.
