Story of current members of WI Wing
We have Wing WI records, particularly relating to the war years - including WI Committee minutes and the accounts 1939-45. We have seen the branch minutes, which are summarised in note form. Committee minutes show that the WI met regularly to organise branch meetings - branch meetings attended by all. One of the current WI members went through branch minutes and took notes. Branch minutes are now summarised in a Word document. As early as May the WI were discussing wartime contingencies and evacuation. A member of Wing WI put together the notes and they reflect the entirety of the war period.... Mehr ...
