¿Un acuerdo imposible? La gestión pública del pasado traumático: de Berlín a Euskadi
This article analyzes two memorials to Holocaust victims: Kazerne Dossin in Mechelen (Belgium) and the Memorial to the murdered Jews of Europe, in Berlin. The main goal is to extract the lessons which are applicable to the Basque Country, with regard to the foundation of institutions dedicated to the memory of the victims of terrorism. Based on the two examples we have just mentioned, we argue that it is possible and necessary to reach basic agreements on the public politics of memory.
