As a way to explore IJburg, a new neighborhood in Amsterdam built on artificial islands, Lopez befriended Jean, a local man who is blind. She accompanied him for eighteen months, walking across IJburg and listening to the birds. The book contains color photographs, images based on the sounds, a statement from Jean, and online media that can be linked to items in the book through the downloadable Layar app. Features text by Bo Tarenskeen.
