The environmental aspect is also considered by calculating the carbon impact of the implementation of a public transport line. ; Ce document présente la restructuration du réseau de transports publics de la métropole de Charleroi en Wallonie en Belgique, un territoire vaste, contrasté, enclin à l’étalement urbain et à la domination de l’autosolisme. Cette adaptation passe par une refonte des niveaux de services de lignes préexistantes, notamment en zone urbaine où l’offre doit se vouloir plus compétitive que la voiture particulière, en assurant des hauts niveaux de service. Une attention est également portée sur la zone rurale où les FMD sont utilisées pour proposer une offre structurante régulière mais aussi à la demande. L’aspect environnemental est également traité par le biais de l’impact carbone de la mise en place d’une ligne de transport public.
