Abstract: The “Hohes Venn” extends over the elevated plains of the western “Eifel” (Germany) and the “Ardennen” (Belgium). In comparison with other Central European mountain peat lands the vegetation is florageographical characterized by Atlantic kinds. Apart from a conception of the remarkable plants the vegetation is classified for the first time according to the form of vegetation concept.
