Genreproblemen in de nieuwe monarchieliteratuur
Following the changes in monarchs in Belgium and the Netherlands and the celebration of two centuries of Orange-monarchy in 2013, a flood of publications has appeared. In this review article the wide variety of genres in the current ‘monarchy-literature’ is classified for the first time. In addition to the dominant biographical form, ranging from scholarly royal biographies to journalistic biographical portraits and the vie romancée, constitutional literature, the political essay and Tendenzliteratur can be distinguished.
