Two Fragmentary blasons anatomiques at the City Library of Arnhem (The Netherlands)

This article offers a transcription and discussion of two sixteenth-century French poetical fragments preserved at the Arnhem City Library in the Netherlands. These texts, which so far had not been identified or studied, turn out to be excerpts from the contemporary literary anthology known as the Blasons anatomiques du corps femenin. Although limited in size, they show some clear signs of reworking by the copyist, thus offering an interesting glimpse into the circulation and reception of the poetical blason in the sixteenth century.
