This article is a preliminary report on a case of rescue archaeology conducted during the summer of 2007 in the commune of Ohey, at Haillot (province of Namur). The object of the excavation was a large puddingstone block, known as Pierre du Diable, and its immediate surroundings. With the help of the evidences and material gathered, particularly the stone hole, it could be established that the block is a menhir which had been subjected to two destructions.
