Transforming public services at Southampton City Council - Southampton Citv Council has been hailed by the Government as a prime example of the success of the Modernising government programme. We review how the accessibility of council services has been enhanced through the provision of a first-stop-shop information service. For staff, this meant new working patterns and job descriptions with an increased focus on customer service and enhanced performance management.
