Pay deals stable at 3.3%. for now - Despite or sharp fall in headline inflation, the recent period of pay stability has continued, with settlement levels largely unchanged since the start of the year. Provisional results from the IRS databank show that the headline measure of whole-economy pay awards stood at 3.3% in the three months ending March 2001.
