HR Access at ICL - In the, first of an occasional series of case studies on the issues involved in rolling out integrated HR software systems, we examine IBM's HR Access and its implementation at a leading e-business services company. ICL ditched its old personnel servers and software and introduced a proprietary HR information management solution. As a result, it beat off the millennium bug and began last year with a state-of-theart client-server HR system that is fully integrated with a global and national payroll service and a developing culture of employee self-service.
