This study describes the practice of amicable settlement in Sabangan, Mountain Province. It specifically looked into the extent of implementation of different activities in the amicable settlement, the perceived effectiveness of the practice, and the experiences of the parties involved, and the community people in the administration of the amicable settlement. The qualitative-quantitative method was used to gather data through questionnaire, interview, and focus group discussion. It was found that necessary actions are justly applied to address issues and conflict. However, some members of the lupon do not actively participate in dispute resolution and are not thoroughly aware on the provisions of the KatarungangPambarangay Law, which is necessary and a guide in an amicable settlement.
