Remarks — The specimens from Sardinia, used in this study for molecular analysis, morphologically match the description of Torrenticola xylurgella, a species endemic for Sardinia and Corsica (Gerecke & Di Sabatino 1996). The new specimens from Sardinia form a distinct BIN (BOLD:AET4249). The p -distance between the latter BIN and its nearest neighbour, BOLD:ACP6165, which include a specimen from Borneo assigned to T. tjiwalensis (K. Viets, 1935) is estimated at 13.3%.
