This study specifically addresses an issue in fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence), which is the understanding on the status of pig-related impurity and the relationship between Muslim converts’ daily interactions with their non-Muslim families in Sabah. The understanding of fiqh will affect one’s attitude until the practice becomes correct. This study aims to explain in detail the Islamic legal rulings on pork and identify the level of the Muslim converts’ understanding and the pattern of interaction with their non-Muslim family members. This study is a quantitative study. A set of questionnaires was used to collect data.
