In the framework of the improvement of exploration methods, the numerical modeling of physical processes provides useful tools in order to more accurately locate the geothermal resources. Indeed, the understanding of physical processes in a specific geodynamic system, such as fluid flow, heat transport and tectonic stresses distribution, as well as their interactions, is fundamental in order to predict the location of favourable conditions and, moreover, to explain why they are favourable.
