Minutes of First Dutch Reformed Church of Jersey City, 1835-1850
Minutes of the meetings of the Consistory, the governing body of the Reformed Dutch Church of Jersey City, founded in 1830, located on Grove Street. Period covers most of the pastorate of Matthias Lusk, who served from 1833-1849, from tenuous beginnings to a more thriving congregation. Relations with the community, including the Presbyterian Church, which had previously occupied the site, and the nearby Lyceum. Written mostly in the hand of Henry De Mott, Secretary of the Consistory.
