Characterization of Alder Phytophthora Isolates from Wallonia and Development of SCAR Primers for their Specific Detection

peer reviewed ; Isolates of alder Phytophthora were collected in the southern part of Belgium on riverbanks planted with Alnus glutinosa and A. incana. They were compared with strains isolated in other European countries in terms of maximum temperature for growth, oogonia shape, pathogenicity on Alnus seedlings and genetic traits.
