Hemibagrus sabanus (Inger & Chin, 1959)? BE Hemibagrus sabanus (Inger & Chin, 1959)?: Parenti & Meisner, 2003: 45 (middle Belait). Remarks. Hemibagrus sabanus seems restricted to the drainages in eastern Sabah (Ng & Kottelat, 2013b: 214), and is unlikely to occur in Brunei. A likely candidate for misidentification could be Hemibagrus semotus Ng & Kottelat (2013b: 215) which occurs in western Sabah, close to the border with Brunei, but not recorded from within Brunei.
