The macrophytobenthos is integrated by marine macroalgae and angiosperms that live on marine bottoms of the photic zones of the planet and make up an important part of marine biodiversity. The inventory of macroalgae and marine angiosperms species from the National Park Caguanes, at the Sabana-Camagüey archipelago, Cuba, ispresented. 104 infrageneric taxa were found in samplings accomplished in 2003: five Phaeophyceae, 53 Rhodophyta, 42 Chlorophyta and four Tracheophyta were identified.
