Burning effects on p cycling in a Trachypogon savanna ; Efectos de la quema sobre el ciclo del fosforo en una sabana de Trachypogon

The Trachypogon savannas are one of the most widespread ecosystems of northern Southamerica. They are characterized by the dominance of a herbaceous layer of graminae and cyperacea on acidic soils of low natural fertility. The most common use of those savannas are the extensive cattle raising and for this reason the burning of the vegetation allows to renew forage production in order to increase its nutritional content.
