European dairy policy in the years to come; Quota abolition and competitiveness

This study examines and discusses recent and future developments in the EU dairy sector. Expected future market projections are discussed. Market impacts are downscaled to farm level, illustrated by quantitative effects on the Dutch dairy sector. Structural change appears to be an important factor for the sector to adjust and to maintain its competitiveness.
