This study examines the intersection of sustainability and human resource management (HRM) in the hospitality industry, specifically focusing on the hotel sector. While sustainable HRM (SHRM) has received attention in recent years, its application in the hospitality industry remains relatively unexplored. The research aims to provide a comprehensive framework for SHRM from a management perspective in the hotel industry, identifying key practices, and assessing the associated challenges and benefits. A qualitative research approach was adopted, combining primary and secondary data sources through data triangulation. The study was conducted in the Netherlands, known for its advanced sustainability practices in the tourism and hospitality industry. The findings highlight six essential SHRM practices that promote employee well-being, ensure organizational performance and contribute to environmental and societal goals. The research emphasizes the importance of contextual factors in shaping the SHRM framework through the contingency approach and suggests further exploration of SHRM in different settings. Additionally, future research is recommended to employ quantitative methodologies to validate the relationships between SHRM practices and investigate their effects on organizational benefits, environmental impacts, and societal outcomes ; Aquest estudi examina la intersecció de la sostenibilitat i la gestió de recursos humans (HRM) en el sector de l'hostaleria, centrant-se específicament en el sector hoteler.
