Arnoldussen, S. & K.M. de Vries 2017, A plan in place? Celtic field habitation at Westeinde (prov. Drenthe, The Netherlands)

Excavations within the Westeinde - Noormansveld Celtic field yielded a house-site datable to the Late Bronze Age to Middle Iron Age period (pres. 900-500 cal BC). Its presence within the Celtic field merits a discussion of the frequently awkward relations between habitation traces and Celtic field banks. Additionally, a nearby pit with Middle Iron Age sherds may represent a deposit of sherds that had seen different use-histories after breakage of the pot.
