For Richer, for Poorer: The Impact of Macroeconomic Conditions on Union Dissolution Rates in the Netherlands 1972-1996
Most studies on union dissolution of couples focus on explanations at the individual or household level. Consequently, our knowledge on the association between macrolevel conditions and union dissolution rates is limited. In this article, we shift our focus from individual characteristics to contextual conditions as explanations for differences in union dissolution rates.
