Pre-Roman urnfields in the north of the Netherlands

Systematic research covering more than fifty years has brought the study of the urnfields of the north of The Netherlands to a point where an attempt can be made to determine the regional patterns of human habitation between c. 1100 and c. 500 BC. As a preliminary to this, the majority of the unpublished excavations were described in chapter 2 .
