In 2021, we celebrate the 150th anniversary of Rosa Luxemburg’s birth. Despite the long time since the publication of her texts, Rosa remains influencing generations, constituting a vibrant force to philosophy and political theory. This article deals with Rosa’s legacy to the contemporary political theory, with an emphasis on five of her contributions: (1) the evaluation of the meaning of reformism; (2) the role of the periphery in the international system; (3) Marxist feminism; (4) the non-determinism of history and the dialectic between agency and structure; (5) and the interconnection between democracy, socialism and freedom. ; Em 2021, celebramos os 150 anos do nascimento de Rosa Luxemburgo. Não obstante o longo tempo percorrido desde a publicação de seus textos, sua obra permanece sendo recepcionada por gerações, constituindo uma força viva para afilosofia e a teoria política. No presente artigo tratamos do legado de Rosa para a teoria política contemporânea, com ênfase em cinco de suas contribuições: (1) a avaliação sobre o significado do reformismo; (2) o papel da periferia no sistemainternacional; (3) a questão do feminismo marxista; (4) o não determinismo da história e a dialética entre agência e estrutura; (5) e a interconexão entre democracia, socialismo e liberdade.
