The article aims to analyze the characteristics of a reformist public policy based on the Brazilian educational reform that culminated in the implementation of the National Common Curricular Base (BNCC). Through bibliographical and documentary research, the role of public policies is presented and how they relate to the proposals of international organizations and national business groups. The research has historical-dialectical materialism as a theoretical reference, mainly linked to the discussion on reform and revolution proposed by Rosa Luxemburgo. We conclude that the current educational reforms, mainly the one that resulted in the consolidation of the BNCC, have a reformist character, designed to meet the interests of the ruling class and, therefore, do not contemplate the interests of the working class. However, the reforms can also be understood as products of indignation, struggle, organization of the working class for better living conditions, in the formation of its revolutionary conscience, in the process of overcoming the capitalist, liberal mode of production, in the conquests of its end last, the socialism. ; El artículo tiene como objetivo analizar las características de una política pública reformista a partir de la reforma educativa brasileña que culminó con la implementación de la Base Curricular Común Nacional (BNCC). A través de la investigación bibliográfica y documental, se presenta el papel de las políticas públicas y cómo se relacionan con las propuestas de organismos internacionales y grupos empresariales nacionales. La investigación tiene como referente teórico el materialismo histórico-dialéctico, vinculado principalmente a la discusión sobre reforma y revolución propuesta por Rosa Luxemburgo. Concluimos que las reformas educativas vigentes, principalmente la que resultó en la consolidación de la BNCC, tienen un carácter reformista, destinadas a atender los intereses de la clase dominante y, por tanto, no contemplan los intereses de la clase trabajadora.
