Ephemeroptera of Luxembourg checklist 2024 ...
This checklist was compiled via a study, 11,399 records of mayfly species (Insecta; Ephemeroptera) which have been accessed since 1990 for the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. The checklist includes 52 species, however, three species have not been observed for more than 70 years: Prosopistoma pennigerum (Müller, 1785), Ephoron virgo (Olivier, 1791) and Isonychia ignota (Walker, 1853). Particularly noteworthy are the first discovery of Arthroplea congener Bengtsson, 1908 as well as the re-finding of Caenis macrura (Stephens, 1836). The study can be found under: • Dolisy, D. & A.M.
