Superfamily CENTROCUBOIDEA Hollande & Enjumet, 1960 sensu Dumitrica (2001) Centrocubidae Hollande & Enjumet, 1960: 48, 51, 69, 120-121. Centrocubacea [ sic ] – Dumitrica 2001: 193 (= Centrocuboidea). DIAGNOSIS. — The central structure is very small: a simple frame made of short bars with several sharp corners. The external skeleton is outside the central structure. It is spherical, made of a normal latticed shell, a spongy layered shell, and is full of coarse polygonal meshes. REMARKS The Centrocuboidea consist of the Centrocubidae (Clade H), Excentroconchidae (Clade I), Quinquecapsulariidae and Spongodrymidae (Clade I) in the Cenozoic.
