Albert E. Holland, Trinity College Class of 1934, was interned by the Japanese in the Santo Tomas Internment Camp, Manila, from 1942 to 1945. During the waning months of his captivity Holland kept a diary for his sister Hope. Part of the Albert E. Holland Papers in the Trinity College Archives, the gift of Mrs. Eva J. Engel Holland, the diary furthers understanding of a lesser-known aspect of the Pacific Theater in World War II. A finding aid for the Holland Papers is under development.
