Paris enthroned, representing Justice (folio IXv) ; In his right hand he holds a shepherd's crook referring to the consistency of the administration of justice: the point at one end is used for punishment while the hook at the other is needed to gather the "flock" back together. Paris's open left hand signifies that he gives everyone just deserts.
