Photograph from a series made for insurance or appraisal purposes (1958 Lane Brothers Assignment Book, pages 321, 322). There are four series made for Mr. and Mrs. Arnold S. Kaye of their art collection, this series of five images of four different paintings was made on December 3, 1958 in the Kayes' house (at 801 Douglas Road, near Sandy Springs--the road and house were demolished), by Dan Lane. This painting was donated to the High Museum of Art in 1958, and was deaccessioned and sold at Christie's on January 18, 1983.
