The report deals with the importance and the role of teacher in establishing socio-emotional atmosphere in the class. Especially stressed are the speculations on the possibilities of application of direct observation in the investigation into the effects of teacher's behavior in the classroom. Further are presented the results of a research the subject of which was the analysis of the relation between the style of teacher's behavior, (defined in terms of verbal communication and the social relations that are established among pupils).
