This work focuses on the Philippines in the late sixteenth century and takes as central the first episode of the clash with Holland, starring Oliver Noort attack Manila in 1600. Competition of Spain and Portugal by the spice trade had been resolved through the 1529 Treaty of Zaragoza, Spain by the resignation of the Moluccas and permanent settlement in the Philippines since 1565. In 1600, Holland made their appearance in the Asian scene with a model of original colonial exploitation, through the company Dutch East Indies, and with an expansive power which led him to dominate throughout the seventeenth century a considerable part of the Portuguese settlements. ; Este trabajo se centra en Filipinas a fines del siglo XVI y toma como eje central el primer episodio del enfrentamiento con Holanda, protagonizado por el ataque de Oliver Noort a Manila en 1600. La competencia de España y Portugal por el comercio de especias se había resuelto, a través del Tratado de Zaragoza de 1529, mediante la renuncia de España a las Molucas y su asentamiento definitivo en Filipinas desde 1565. En 1600, Holanda hizo su aparición en el escenario asiático con un modelo de explotación colonial original, a través de la Compañía Holandesa de las Indias Orientales, y con una potencia expansiva que le llevó a dominar a lo largo del siglo XVII una parte considerable de los asentamientos portugueses.
