Deed to lot in what is now Bayonne, 1826
Deed in which the children of Cornelius Vreeland grant a parcel of land to their brother. The property is described as being near the intersection of the only two main roads through the southern part of what is now Hudson County, which was just beginning a period of rapid growth. The Vreeland family was among the early settlers of the area, the signatories to this deed being of the sixth generation, and continued to be prominent in the history of Bayonne.
