Détection, identification et quantification des transgènes dans les aliments par amplification génique. Analytical methods for the authentification of agro-food products. Gembloux (Belgium). 20 Oct 1999.

After a brief outline of what defines a transgenic plant, the interest is stated of using DNA for the detection of the transgenic nature of foodstuffs. The current detection and identification techniques of transgenes in food are reviewed by stressing the limitations of the techniques if unknown constructions are used. Quantitative detection techniques are also presented with the difficulties linked to it.
