Medieval Ceramics: Journal of the Medieval Ceramics Research Group, 30, 103-118 ... : The paper offers a survey and assessment of the late medieval western Mediterranean commodities in the Belgian coastal area with particular emphasis on those coming from a number of fishing settlements. The bulk of the material is provided by the site of Raversijde. Special attention is paid to the Spanish maiolicas, the most prominent group among these finds, and their possible meanings (access and uses, selection, cost, social behaviour). The conclusions are, however, provisional. ...
