Comparative Analysis of the System of Higher Education in Ukraine, Austria, Belgium

In this scientific article, a comparative analysis of the higher education system of Ukraine, Austria, and Belgium was carried out. In Austria, the peculiarities of the choice of study subjects are the selective component, which makes up no more than 50% of the total number of ECTS credits. In this scientific article, a comparative analysis of the higher education system of Ukraine, Austria, and Belgium was carried out. In Austria, the peculiarities of the choice of study subjects are the selective component, which makes up no more than 50% of the total number of ECTS credits. In Austria, unlike Ukraine, the form of a higher education diploma can be electronic; paper on different invoice paper (depends on the price of obtaining the diploma form itself, which is paid for). We propose to implement the positive experience of higher education in Austria in the following directions: 1. To provide that a higher education applicant has the right to graduate from a higher education institution in a period shorter than 4 years for bachelors and 2 years for masters, in the event that the higher education applicant successfully completes the educational and professional program, the scope which is 180-240 ECTS credits for bachelors and 90-120 ECTS credits for masters. 2. Students should have the right to choose the deadlines for handing in coursework and diploma papers, as well as to choose a teacher. Types of higher education institutions in Belgium are: universities; university colleges; institutes of arts, architecture and the military academy. As we can see, despite the fact that both Ukraine and Belgium are building a system of higher education according to the principles of the Bologna Convention, there is still a significant difference between the higher education of these countries. In our opinion, it is considered appropriate to evaluate the possibility of redistributing the number of credits at the bachelor's degree, which will, accordingly, make it possible to shorten the study period. In addition, the principle of regionalism when determining the language of instruction depending on a certain region of Belgium is interesting.
