A. vermiculare is mostly characteristic of the Hanonet Formation, but is still present at the base of the Trois-Fontaines Formation. Aristophyllum luetti n. sp. is usually restricted to the upper part of the Hanonet Formation. Thin sections of the holotype of Acanthophyllum heterophyllum , type species of the genus Acanthophyllum DYBOWSKI, 1873, are figured for the first time.
