Hepatitis E virus in pork meat products and exposure assessment in Belgium

Abstract: Zoonotic hepatitis E virus (HEV) genotype 3 infections are the predominant cause of acute viral hepatitis in Europe, mostly associated with the consumption of HEV contaminated pork meat.
