The article attempts to characterize the trends in the development of general music education in educational institutions of the Kingdom of Belgium. In accordance with the curriculum to determine the content and organization of the educational process, in relation to lessons and extracurricular activities on artistic and aesthetic education of children and youth. Secondary schools in Belgium, ensuring access to education and fairness in education, knowledge acquisition, promote the intellectual development of the younger generation, are centers of spiritual and cultural education, a place for cultural and educational activities.
