Mise en évidence de la faille de Marenne sur la carte géologique Aye - Marche-en-Famenne ; Highlighting of the Marenne fault on the geological map Aye - Marche-en-Famenne
peer reviewed ; The revision of the geological map Aye - Marche-en-Famenne (Belgium, Wallonia, Hotton) has emphasized an important deformation structure named the Marenne Fault. This fault is clearly visible at the southeastern face of the Marenne quarry. The dating by rugose corals has allowed to define with precision the Givetian lithologic units that have been put in contact by this normal faul with a later, right-lateral strike-slip component. This fault, that may be traced over a few kilometers to the East, is probably late Hercynian, of the same type and origin as the Lamsoul Fault know... Mehr ...

It seems to form part of a family of faults which are regularly observed on the south side of the Dinant Synclinorium. ; Modernisation de la carte géologique de la Wallonie
