Whether they cover two years (a mutiny in the Eighty Years War - Kattenberg) or seven years (Jewish persecution and trials of collaborators in the Netherlands and Belgium ‒ Wouters and Zurné) or deal with centuries (the water-board landowners of Rijnland and Schieland ‒ Van Tielhof and Belgian diplomats ‒ Leenders) the incidents, practices and developments considered in these articles all add something new to the historical debate and at the same time demonstrate the topicality of these historical questions.
