Ninety-five taxa had been recognised among the Bivalvia of theBruxellian II (« Sables et Grès de Bruxelles; Sables de Nil-St.-Vincent;GLIBERT, M., 1933) and one hundred thirty-two taxa in the Wemmelian(« Sables de Wemmel et Sables d'Asse »; GLIBERT, M., 1936). In theLedian fauna one hundred and eleven bivalvian taxa are identified, twentyseven of which have never been recorded from another stratum of the Belgian Eocene. The stratigraphy of the Ledian was discussed in the introduction of the first part and an alphabetical list of localities provided. This has been supplemented by a short appendix to this part providing additional localities and a complete index. I am very much indebted to Dr. Dirk NOLF and to Mr. Richard SMITH for their valuable help in providing excellent material from Balegem (Oost-Vlaanderen).
