Since the 1970s, the pension system in Belgium has changed with the development of mechanisms for early retirement from the labour market. This article analyzes the evolution of senior migration over the last 40 years. It also studies the possible impacts of early retirement on mobility. An initial observation is that of decreased mobility beyond 50 years between 1970 and 2006. A second change concerns residential choices.
