Elytrigia ×oliveri (E. acuta × repens) (Poaceae) in Belgium, a very misunderstood grass of our flora. Elytrigia acuta and its hybrid with E. repens (E. ×oliveri) are very often confused. E. acuta only occurs along the coast and along the Scheldt north of Antwerp, while the hybrid is much more common and moreover widespread. E. ×oliveri is common in the polders and seems to occur increasingly as an adventive elsewhere as well.
