We describe management of pyometra in a 2-year-old Belgian Malinois dog in 8-week gestation. The dog presented with fleas, dermatitis, pruritis, depression and swollen vulva with foul-smelling vaginal discharge suggesting pyometra. Digital radiography showed no viable fetuses at 8th week pregnancy but scanning suggested abortions or miscarriages due to pyometra. Findings were confirmed by X-ray, blood analysis and aborted fetuses.
