Non-motor symptoms in a Flanders-Belgian population of 215 Parkinsons disease patients as assessed by the Non-Motor Symptoms Questionnaire

Abstract: Background: Non-motor symptoms (NMS) in Parkinsons disease (PD) are frequent, increase the patients disability and have an important negative impact on their quality of life. Methods: We used a Dutch translation of the Non-Motor Symptoms Questionnaire (NMSQuest) to identify NMS in a population of 215 Belgian PD patients. Results: A median number of 8 NMS was reported per patient.
