Guide to arbitration places (GAP)

The Belgian Arbitration Act is closely modeled on the UNCITRAL Model Law, with some specificities drawn from Belgian arbitration practice. The Belgian Arbitration Act applies to both international and domestic arbitration when the seat of arbitration is in Belgium. The Belgian Arbitration Act and case law are based on the principle of favor arbitrandum. There is a positive attitude towards arbitration.
